The prototype
This kit is for the rebuilt version of the original Holmes design of 1890 (kit 9105 / 9115), with the broad planking replaced by standard width narrow planking. In addition to those retaining the clasp brakes, many were built with single push-on brakes with the tare weight reduced to 10.0.0. Optional parts are included to allow for either type. With 40 surviving to the 1940 LNER census, only 2 were left by 1947. It is unlikely that any made it into nationalisation.

W-irons, wheels, paint and transfers will require to be purchased seperately to complete.
